BLS Home Deco is a store located in Ipoh, Perak, selling home decoration and gardening products such as plants, racks, landscaping decorations, flower pots, gardening tools, fertilizers and many more.
Mr. Tang is the third generation to manage this business. In the year 2013, he noticed that online business would be the future trend and hence, started to upload their products for sale in the first marketplace, Lelong. Today, they are selling across multiple online sales channels with a warehouse of about 20,000 square feet in size.
Challenges BLS Home Deco faced when converting to online business
When Mr. Tang had just started to sell online, many people were doubtful about whether the plants could be shipped by courier. However, once the customers received the products in good condition, they started to have more confidence in BLS Home Deco. Now BLS Home Deco has more than 5000 SKUs and around 30 employees to run the business.
Not easy to manage multiple channels at once
They had a hard time managing their stocks and orders before using SiteGiant WMS system. They need to log in to different seller centers such as Shoppe and Lazada, print out the orders, and distribute them to different pickers and packers. It was also hard to train new employees because they were unfamiliar with the products and the location of the products. As a result, they were always experiencing packing errors and late shipments.
